Because of the critical role of the healthcare system in public health and well-being, regulatory compliance is paramount in the healthcare industry. At TGE, our team of multi-disciplined professionals has the practical experience and industry-specific knowledge to provide common sense, cost-effective solutions to clients in the healthcare industry. From hazardous materials management and development of compliance plans, to indoor air quality concerns and regulatory compliance consulting, TGE has been meeting the environmental needs of the healthcare industry since 1994.

Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (Houston, Pasadena, Beaumont, Orange, and The Woodlands, Texas)

Since 1994, TGE has worked within this healthcare system's 16 campuses in the Houston area, and effectively communicated with state and local regulators to benefit both operations and compliance status. TGE has been retained to assist in development of various compliance plans and hazardous materials management, documents associated with asbestos compliance, indoor air considerations and disposal of waste streams generated from client-owned facilities.

TGE has also achieved a key role in this client’s superior Joint Commission Operational Reviews which apply to health care facility operation. Additionally, following Tropical Storm Allison and its ensuing flood, TGE was the lead environmental contractor to bring the Houston Medical Center campus not only back to operation, but managed the removal of hazardous materials from the facility and ensured compliant operations, in excess of $5 million in cost, within a period of 6 weeks.

Major Healthcare Provider - Houston Medical Center (Houston, Texas)

TGE addressed notable corrosion problems and reported health concerns in a natatorium due to use of corrosive materials such as chlorine, bromine, and acid gases. Recommendations provided by TGE in conjunction with engineers alleviated problem areas and related health concerns.

Medical Clinics - Throughout Houston Metroplex (Houston, Texas)

TGE conducted numerous IH/IEQ projects for this regional healthcare provider within occupied facilities, performing specific IH/IEQ work in each clinic as a proactive measure. TGE provided recommendations for appropriate management of building finishes/materials and continues efforts related to the needs of this client.

Major Healthcare System (Houston, Texas)

As a result of this healthcare system's expansion of its hospital campuses, it became necessary for the acquisition of properties that were impacted by historical releases of hydrocarbon from former on-site tanks or tank systems on adjacent property. Within the network of regulatory programs, TGE represented its client during all aspects of investigation, monitoring, agency negotiation, closure and site redevelopment. Additionally, TGE maintains project efforts in compliance with state reimbursable guidelines.
