Leading thought and driving results for contaminated property.

Emergency Response & Gross Recovery

When spills of hydrocarbons or release of chemicals occur from tanks, pipelines, containers, or even oil wells, TGE remains on call & prepared to respond with skilled Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (CHMMs), Licensed Geologists & Engineers, and skilled Industrial Hygienists bringing, tools, and vendor resources to the scene. Our vetted professionals have responded to massive well blow outs in sensitive-use agricultural land, pesticide release to active commercial property, and unique conditions related to clean-up of debris and regulated asbestos in soil. TGE's combined skill set has been applied "on call" with emergency response across the U.S. within active-use food distribution facilities, within midstream petroleum bulk plants, and within the petrochemical environment under high-risk release. TGE responds with urgency and innovation to control the hazard and minimize loss.

Soil & Groundwater Recovery/Corrective Action

Once property contamination has occurred, TGE’s team of professional geoscientists and engineers bring innovative and cost-effective strategies to recover valuable reserves and remove/control residual contamination within affected property. With tools at hand and equipment on stand-by, available vacuum trucks, absorbent booms and pads, manual extraction techniques, and product skimmers are mobilized and put into active use, often same day. Automated systems may be required for longer term remediation and operations and maintenance efforts. TGE stands ready to assess, design engineer, obtain agency concurrence, and implement an effective response with the objective being case closure to no further action; or effective management of continued obligations under risk-based closure.

3

Soil Vapor & In Situ Treatment

In certain situations, design and installation of a long-term soil vapor extraction and vapor mitigation system is indicated; or, injection of chemical to oxidize organic contamination in situ is warranted to address affected property. TGE brings these technologies and other innovative strategies to client projects to expedite closure. In the oilfield, and depending upon the project setting, remediation methods such as landfarming, bioremediation, and phytoremediation (using plants to uptake contamination) are routinely used by TGE to expedite projects to completion and to save resources.

4

Risk-Based Closure & Monitored Natural Attenuation

With in excess of 500 NORM screening & characterization (testing) assessments performed, many "on call", TGE brings expedited “same day” results to the energy industry. TGE employes a GIS-driven specialty approach to produce accurate delineation reports that allow areal & waste volume estimates - almost in real time. As needed, remediation scopes are prepared by TGE's trained Radiation Safety Officers (RS)s) and implemented to release state permits (Louisiana). TGE has actively directed comprehensive remediation under continued NORM screening and sampling to allow unrestricted use certification across not only the Gulf Coast States, but across other oil and gas producing fields of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including within field refineries, pipe yards, and equipment rework/repair facilities.

5

Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORMs) Specialty Services

With TGE’S extensive oilfield experience, and with knowledge related to process waste streams, TGE offers national and international, turn-key experience in screening for, characterizing, and remediating NORM contamination from industrial-use oilfield-related property. TGE has performed an excess of 500 NORM screens and assessments using expedited “same day” results and comprehensive reports, inclusive of remediation cost estimates.
