Coby Scher PE is a Senior Engineer with TGE Resources. He was born in New York City but moved to Houston when he was eleven years old. He attended Bellaire High School before entering Rice University where he earned a BA degree in chemistry. He entered the environmental field quite accidently in the 1960s while working as a chemist at his first job for a Houston Ship Channel chemical plant. Mr. Scher has been an environmental engineering consultant since receiving his MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Houston. He has four grown children and is married to Amy Gremillion. He enjoys traveling, music and cooking with her and her two grown children.

Coby is an expert in forensic environmental engineering, especially issues pertaining to fate and interaction of chemicals in environmental media. Coby has also had significant experience in process engineering; environmental management systems; M&A due diligence; risk-based cleanups; Superfund, RCRA and TSCA RI/FS and remedial activities; air pollution control; wastewater treatment and design; and other environmental consulting assignments both in the USA and abroad.

Coby has been an elected Diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers since 1988 in the Hazardous Waste specialty and a Diplomate of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers since 2005.
