Challenges
Pre-renovation survey of a 14-story office tower; and the need
for a streamlined scope of work and sampling plan to discretely
complete a comprehensive survey of the building without
impacting continued business operations within the facility. Work
was expedited for the construction of emergency equipment
tie-ins to permit continued facility operation during natural
disaster.

Solution
TGE coordinated with METRO personnel to inspect the building
and prepared a detailed sampling plan; reviewed architectural
and as-built drawings for the building; coordinated/conducted
an exhaustive industrial hygiene survey throughout the building
(including “sensitive” financial/IT areas); field work was
completed discretely with no disruption to the general public,
METRO employees, or normal business operations.
Outcome
TGE’s on schedule and on budget survey facilitated
environmental compliance for the construction of emergency
equipment tie-ins to permit continued facility operation during
natural disasters and equipped METRO personnel with necessary
information for planning future building renovation/maintenance.
